Clontarf Dublin Bay Photography

Clontarf, on Dublin’s northside, is a place I return to often with my camera—drawn by its ever-changing light, the gentle curve of the promenade, and the sense of peace that settles over the bay. My Clontarf photography prints are born from these walks, where each step reveals something new: the iconic Poolbeg chimneys rising on the horizon, the classic green shelters offering a place to pause, and the laughter of people enjoying the sea air.

There is a rhythm to Clontarf that I try to capture in my photographs. The Poolbeg chimneys, standing tall across the water, are a constant presence—an unmistakable part of Dublin’s skyline and a beloved backdrop to many of my images. As I walk along the seafront, the green shelters dotted along the promenade invite moments of reflection, framing views of the bay and the distant hills of the Dublin mountains.

Sometimes it is the simple joy of a walk, the sound of waves, or the sight of families gathering by the water that inspires me to capture the special moments I find here. Each image is a way of sharing these moments, of inviting others to experience the calm and connection of Clontarf.
