As a landscape photographer, I have had the privilege of travelling the Ring of Kerry over many decades, and its timeless allure never fades. The Kingdom of Kerry, set along the Wild Atlantic Way, is a place that always lifts my spirits. There is something truly special about the dramatic light that plays across the Atlantic Ocean and sweeps along the rugged coastline, especially around Slea Head on the magnificent Dingle Peninsula. Each visit brings a renewed sense of wonder, as the ever-changing skies and the vast, natural curves of the land reveal new perspectives and endless inspiration.

The Ring of Kerry begins in Killarney and follows a scenic 179 km loop, guiding you through some of Ireland’s most breathtaking landscapes and historic sites. Along the way, you encounter the tranquil beauty of Killarney National Park and Lakes, the elegance of Muckross House and Gardens, the storied walls of Ross Castle, and the panoramic splendour of Ladies View. The journey continues past the cascading waters of Torc Waterfall, the distant silhouette of Skellig Michael rising from the sea, and the golden sands of Derrynane Beach. Each stop offers its own unique charm and a chance to connect with the soul of Ireland.
